Everyday energy / vitality after too many indoor hours
Orange through deep red in one light: 610, 630, and 670 nm, the bands cell research keeps coming back to. Strong up close, so it takes seconds a spot. Quiet, plugs in, hands-free in any standard lamp, worldwide voltage with a plug for your country, so it travels.
For face, neck, hands, and other spots — not a big panel. Everything you need is in the box. Two-year warranty, 60-day no hassle returns.
Fresher, healthier-looking skin on face, neck, and hands — smoother and firmer-looking with regular sessions.
Recovery support — look better, feel better, show up better after long days or hard work.
Muscle, joint & circulation support on the spots you hold it to.
Evening wind-down — warm orange-red, no blue; sleep-friendly light. This one leaves blue out on purpose.
Everyday energy / vitality after hours indoors.
Targeted sessions, anytime — quiet, plugs in, exactly where you need it. Fits in a drawer or a carry-on.
Wavelengths picked on purpose. Twelve LEDs: three at 610 nm, three at 630 nm, and six at 670 nm, so half the light is deep red. These are the bands where cell research sees the strongest response (see the Research tab).
Strong where you hold it. 150 mW/cm² up close, 100 at 4 inches, so sessions take seconds, not half an hour. Move back for a wider, lighter dose: it still puts out 10 mW/cm² at 31 inches.
Hold it or go hands-free. Light in the hand and easy to angle at your face, neck, or the back of a hand, or screw it into any standard lamp (E26/E27) for hands-free sessions. Quiet. Worldwide voltage; plugs for US/Canada, Europe, UK, or Australia.
Customers call it "lighter, brighter and easier to use than I expected," and "Very powerful. Great quality."
No battery to charge, no app, no serum to buy. Want near-infrared too? Pair it with the LGS8 or step up to the LGS11. Two-year warranty. 60-day no hassle returns.
Start 4 to 6 inches from the skin. 10 to 20 seconds on a spot, three to five times a week. If the skin gets hot, move back or stop. Add time slowly.
Do not look straight into the LEDs.
Keep the light dry. Do not cover it while it is on.

610 nm, orange-red, 3 LEDs
630 nm, red, 3 LEDs
670 nm, deep red, 6 LEDs
150 mW/cm² at 0 inches
100 mW/cm² at 4 inches
50 mW/cm² at 8 inches
25 mW/cm² at 16 inches
10 mW/cm² at 31 inches
Closer is stronger. Farther is a wider, lighter dose. The light draws 16.7 watts.
How close do I hold it? Start at 4 to 6 inches. The density tab shows what you get if you move in or back.
How long? Start at 10 to 20 seconds a spot. Build from there. Heat is the stop sign.
Can I use it on my eyes? Do not look straight into the LEDs.
Which plug do I need? US and Canada, Europe, UK, or Australia. The light itself takes worldwide voltage.
How is this different from a panel? This is the small one. A panel covers more of you at once. This one is for a spot.
How far away can I use it? Up close for short, strong sessions. Back at arm's length or more for a wider, lighter dose; it still gives 10 mW/cm² at 31 inches. See the Light Density tab.
Do I need goggles? Goggles are optional as long as you don't look directly into the light. Close your eyes when you use it on your face.
Orange-red light in this range is studied in labs and trials for skin appearance, recovery support, circulation where the light lands, sleep-friendly evenings without blue, and cellular energy pathways.
Fresher, healthier-looking skin
Red light near 610–650 nm and skin appearanceWunsch & Matuschka (2014). Photomedicine and Laser Surgery. In a controlled trial, repeated red-light sessions (one arm used 611–650 nm) were linked to better skin-appearance ratings, smoother-looking skin, and higher ultrasound-measured collagen density vs controls.
Recovery support after hard work
Photobiomodulation and post-exercise recoveryLuo et al. (2021) meta-analysis of athlete trials; Dutra et al. (2022) systematic review. Pooled studies explore how red and near-infrared light used around exercise can support how muscles feel and recover. A lot of that work pairs near-infrared with red.
Muscle, joint & circulation support where aimed
670 nm and local blood-flow signalingKeszler et al. (2021) and related 670 nm vessel work. Research at 670 nm looks at how red light can encourage local vasodilation — circulation support where the light lands.
Comfort pathways (review)Hamblin (2017). AIMS Biophysics. Reviews how red and near-infrared photobiomodulation can modulate signaling related to tissue comfort.
Wind-down light — warm orange-red, no blue
Blue is the strong melatonin suppressorBrainard et al. (2001). Journal of Neuroscience. Human action-spectrum work shows short-wavelength (blue) light most strongly suppresses melatonin; longer warm wavelengths do far less.
~630 nm red and evening melatoninHo Mien et al. (2014). PLOS ONE. Continuous ~631 nm red did not suppress melatonin in that protocol. That favors a melatonin-friendlier evening choice than blue-rich screens.
Everyday energy / vitality (cellular energy)
Oxygen use and proton pumpingPastore, Greco, Petragallo & Passarella (1994). Isolated mitochondria, 632.8 nm. A small rise in oxygen use at cytochrome oxidase, and a larger rise in proton pumping — the cell’s energy step.
The enzyme itself is the targetPastore, Greco & Passarella (2000). International Journal of Radiation Biology. Purified cytochrome oxidase responded to 632.8 nm; nearby parts of the chain did not.
Living cells shift with the doseKaru, Pyatibrat, Kolyakov & Afanasyeva (2008). Photomedicine and Laser Surgery. At 632.8 nm, cytochrome oxidase shifted with dose.
Why 610, 630, and 670 nmKaru & Kolyakov (2005) action spectra; Wong-Riley et al. (2005) at 670 nm. Cellular responses cluster near these bands; 670 nm work links light to cytochrome c oxidase and cellular energy pathways — the bioenergetic reason these wavelengths sit on the LGS1.
Bioenergetic view: A metabolism that keeps up makes everyday energy easier to come by. Warm orange-red light on the face and hands is one way people support that bioenergetic picture — cellular energy pathways at cytochrome oxidase, right beside the 630 and 670 nm LEDs. People use it for everyday energy, skin that looks more awake, and an easier evening.

My family benefits from these lights. Here at home we have found red light very useful for many things. My mother and mother in law have had many issues over the past few years and we introduced them to red light. Both have felt improvements and recommend them.

It took a while to arrive (in Australia) but it's lighter, brighter and easier to use than I expected. No evident improvements after 10 days but we're persevering!
This is well made and very bright. You can't look directly into it, so to help regenerate retinal damage, you'll have to set it up at an angle. Would buy again!
The lamp seems to work as advertised, at least in terms of function and not biological effect (we'll have to see with that one, though it definitely produces a sensation). All in all I have no problems.
PS: have you considered producing a lamp like this with two switches, for visible and IR? It doesn't seem like it would be more expensive in terms of engineering, and vis/IR are implicated to have different effects, so it could be useful to be able to dose them independently

Happy with my purchase. :) Excited to start seeing results. Only minor annoyance is that when turning off the light, I have to make sure I press the switch hard or else the light won't go off but the switch will flip.
