Description
Fresher, healthier-looking skin, everyday energy and recovery support, for your whole body at once.
- Fresher, smoother-looking skin, face and body.
- Recovery support after workouts and long, hard days.
- Everyday energy when most of your day is indoors.
- Muscle and joint comfort support from the warmth of near-infrared you mostly feel.
- Sleep-friendly evenings. Warm red, no blue.
- Whole body, short sessions. A 36-inch panel with 200 LEDs; a full-body session can take as little as 40 seconds.
- Two switches. Run the 660 nm red, the 850 nm near-infrared, or both together.
Why it fits bioenergetic living. Indoor days miss the warm end of daylight. 660 nm and 850 nm are two of the most researched red and near-infrared wavelengths, both studied for cellular energy at cytochrome c oxidase.
As one customer put it: “My husband and I love this product. In fact we like it so much we just bought another one!”
Want orange too? See the PL11. A handheld with the same wavelengths: the LGS17.
Three-year warranty on the light, one year on the cord and accessories. 60-day no hassle returns.

The BL17 has two switches. One switch controls the 660nm, and the other switch controls the 850nm. This way you can control the red with one switch, and the near infrared with another switch. You can turn on both switches at one time, or, you can choose to use one at a time.
Buying Guide
Red Light & Cellular Energy

Red (660 nm) and near-infrared (850 nm) light are studied for skin appearance, exercise recovery, cellular energy and evenings without blue.
Fresher, smoother-looking skin
- Red and red-to-infrared light Wunsch & Matuschka (2014). Photomedicine and Laser Surgery, 32(2), 93–100. PMID 24286286. Full-body red and red-to-infrared sessions twice a week improved complexion, skin feel and collagen density versus controls in 136 volunteers.
- Red plus infrared, split-face trial Lee et al. (2007). Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology B, 88(1), 51–67. PMID 17566756. Lit sides showed smoother-looking skin and better elasticity readings than sham.
Recovery support
- Red and infrared around exercise Leal-Junior et al. (2015). Lasers in Medical Science, 30(2), 925–939. PMID 24249354. A meta-analysis found better performance and better markers of exercise recovery than placebo.
Why infrared reaches farther
- Longer wavelengths go deeper Ash et al. (2017). Lasers in Medical Science, 32(8), 1909–1918. PMID 28900751.
Everyday energy (cellular energy)
- 850 nm on the human forearm Pruitt et al. (2022). Metabolites, 12(2), 103. PMID 35208178. 850 nm raised oxidized cytochrome c oxidase, a marker of cellular energy activity.
Wind-down friendly: no blue
- Blue is the strong melatonin suppressor Brainard et al. (2001). Journal of Neuroscience, 21(16), 6405–6412. PMID 11487664.
Bioenergetic & low-toxin perspective
Ray Peat wrote often about red light and cellular energy.
"Red and orange wavelengths penetrate tissue very effectively, because of their weaker absorption by water, allowing them to react with pigments in the cell, such as cytochrome oxidase, which is activated (or re-activated) by red light, increasing the production of ATP." — Ray Peat, "Cataracts: water, energy, light, and aging" (https://raypeat.com/articles/articles/cataracts-water-energy-light-aging.shtml)
"By the 1960s, several studies had been published showing the inhibition of respiratory enzymes by blue light, and their activation by red light." — Ray Peat, "Aging Eyes, Infant Eyes, and Excitable Tissues" (https://raypeat.com/articles/articles/aging-eyes.shtml)
A study Peat cited in "Aging Eyes, Infant Eyes, and Excitable Tissues":
Chen E (1993). Inhibition of cytochrome oxidase and blue-light damage in rat retina. Graefes Arch Clin Exp Ophthalmol 231(7):416-23. PMID 8406068. Blue light slowed cytochrome oxidase, the same enzyme red light supports. One reason this light has no blue.
